Round three Summary
Just thought I'd do a wee article to talk about our round three changes, teams and how wide open it is going into the last round. I'm going to buck the golfing trend and tell you that actually... there ARE pictures on a scorecard. And they tell quite a story. Still, a leaderboard is a leaderboard, and that means there is only one place to start - right at the top. The pic above shows Liz McNeil's table topping team. Liz had an amazing jump round one to round two, and stayed steady through round three. However, stay tuned, I'm going to show you some interesting moves or some hard luck stories that will show that anything can still happen

First up, Eileen Black is currently sitting in fourth place, an incredible effort with one player having missed the cut. Players in 2nd and 4th are helping that situation enormously obviously. I can see Cam Smith staying there, but are Siwoo Kim (in 18th) and Shane Lowry in freefall? Or will Shane get his mojo back that he misplaced in that back nine in round two and help keep Eileen in the hunt?

Next, lets have a look at Susan McGrenaghan's choices. Rounds one and two, Susan had two scores of 138 both rounds, despite movements in the placings for her players. Round three's results however has seen Susan rocket up to 6th place with 91 points, probably the biggest mover. However, Susan also has a player missing the cut, could this be decisive? Will Tommy Fleetwood stay in 10th or drop further down?

So what about the hard luck stories then. Stand up Anne Maley! Sitting still very much in contention in 7th place currently, and in a similar situation to Susan and Eileen. However, Anne's player "missing the cut" is actually Louis Oosthuizen, who pulled out injured. However, unlike Paul Casey whom we were able to allow to be replaced as he withdrew before kick off, Louis pulled out whilst very much in contention at the end of round one. If yer granny had... eh I mean I guess we will never know there Anne, but I can't help but feel your pain there

And finally..... the hardest of hard luck stories, is oor Patti. Patti currently has the players in first and sixth places in her team, totalling a mere seven points. Then she also has TWO players who have missed the cut. D'oh! What might have been here too.
So - round three summary is done and we await the final round. Who is winning the main event and who is going to win the coveted green jacket? The latter will certainly determine the former, but there's no doubting which is the more prestigious. Good luck everyone, enjoy the final round and as always, if my formulas are out and you disagree with your scores, just contact me and we will resolve.
Finally finally.... click any pic in this article to take you to a link to the complete spreadsheet so you can see the full scoring detail
